Private messages on forum

I've tried today to send private message, but received this error message:

Failed sending email :: PHP ::

DEBUG MODE

File : emailer.php

I think this is something with last changes on SourceForge

I had the same problem, but even though it displays this error it still sends the message

Hmm, so private messages are sent, but email notifications about new message are not.

this appens also to me when posting messages on the forum. but i have email notify disabled so idk why it appens

SF has changed their policy and allow some kind of outbound emails now. We have to check if this allows to enable notifications by now, or what would be required to do so. But it seems that some things which just went by silently are now producing warnings. Also for threads which someone enabled notifications for. It does indeed seem to still work despite the warning. So just accept the inconvenience for some days.

Ugh, okay, this can't work with phpBB2 at the moment as SF don't support unencrypted passwords in email authentication, plus local sendmail is disabled. So maybe after the upgrade (I'll try and upgrade this weekend)
