General Error

Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 503 AUTH command used when not advertised

I always get this error when i post reply on a topic. I don't want to send any email :?

The forum sends email notifications to people who are subscribed to certain topics I believe, but it seems there are some problems with this functionality

Confirmed.
I have the same error when i post message in Bug reports.
But here (in Off-topic) i do not get this error.

Yeah, this happens due to the recent changes in SF handling of outbound messages. Before, they were silently ignored, now the error is generated. You can safely ignore it for now, bitplane is working on this issue (as already posted in a different thread).
@REDDemon: Your issues with editing are due to illegal code sequences in bbcode parts. Make sure you adhere to the correct syntax (which can only be found on the phpbb website somewhere, hopefully...)

This problem is not so terrible for already registered user comparing to users that wish to register. I know one man that cannot do this, because he cannot receive email with activation link, and something makes me think that he is not the only one. It is a big problem indeed :(

AFAIK, we never had activation mails. Simply because SF does not allow for. So it will continue to work as before, you just get an irritating warning now.
