get graphing software like geogebra (free on internet) and make a function in X that has visible "steps" in it from 0.0 to 1.0, just like the curves in photoshop. If you put my equation into some graphing soft that supports min and max you will see the steps. But using the exponents I avoided vertical slopes therefore it is anitaliased
