Blender 2.57 released

Post by CuteAlien »

I thought it might be worth mentioning as Blender 2.57 is the first stable release of the 2.5 series. Reworked GUI and a lot more things are scriptable.

Don't know yet how the changes affect the exporters. I guess .obj should probably be no problem, not so sure about animations. Has anyone here already used the 2.5 Blender series to export models for Irrlicht?

I've been using it from the first 2.5 unstable release (no serious work did with it). Most noticeable changes are done in the scripting interface. Old scripts will not work. But newer scripts are in development. Physics is redone and animation are even easier to do than the old release.

Been waiting for this for awhile now. Probably going to try using it at least some with my current Irrlicht project.
