Export animated biped from 3dsmax with irrlicht

Post by frerejeremie »

Hello,

I work since month with a friend on a video game. The game is in 3d and use newton for physic.
We need to apply to several characters (so severals meshes) the animation of one unique biped.
We already had does the characters and the biped with 3dsmax and character studio.
All works well in 3dsmax. But we don't know how to proceed for export. What type of file choose?
I have found a list that we think true of the file readed by irrlicht.

http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/feature ... tedformats

In there, in the part "animated objects", i see only types of file that 3dsmax can't do.
I hope a am wrong, or that i don't understand something.

Is 3dsmax incompatible with irrlicht in this use?
How to do?

I hope someone will answer this.

ps: sorry for my language level

You need to download some exporter- Panda DirectX Exporter (all Max versions), kwXPort (for max up to 2011), or B3dPipeline (max up to 9), play around with the settings, export to .X or .b3d correspondingly and you`ll be fine.
