Learning Irrlicht

Post by docWild »

Hello.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWZvBmRE6hI

This is the beginning of a game which I may continue to develop, which is why it isn't being "project announced" yet.

Really, it is a learning exercise for me as I've never gone that deeply into 3d stuff. I used to play around back in my Amiga days. My plan at the moment is to allow the player to destroy the asteroids in various ways: weapons, tractor beam into a star or other asteroid, planting explosives etc etc. If I leave myself enough resources then perhaps I may implement AI or network multiplayer ships to compete against.

This currently represents about a weeks work in my spare time.
