Some months ago when implementing freetype into some of my projects I needed some good fonts which I could use without having to worry about licensing issues (font licensing is a huge pain in the *ss)
I stumbled upon this: http://www.google.com/webfonts

Literally hundreds of great, freely licensed and open source fonts ready for use in any type of application
I hadn't seen it posted around here (and if it has already been posted, please forgive me :D), but this could be great for people using the bitmap font tool to generate their fonts, or for people who have integrated a font rasterizing library in their projects

Thank you VERY much! I was stuck in pretty much the same problem for quite a while now.
Free Font variety was already getting pretty limited for me. Not anymore now! :mrgreen:

YES!

Google WebFonts is amazing, for me, web developer, this website is really helpful.

dang, wish i had looked at this forum a month ago. would have saved me a ton of time
