Any one know of a free modelling software

I have got Wings3d, but i am looking for something for making characters in.
I have got Windows (x64).
Any suggestions?

Its free, its for win/linx/mac, its 32/64 bit.

That's a nice list, but I'm missing wings3d, the editor I have chosen.
