I'm beginning to get the hang of this now.
This "cathedral" was made in 3Dmax6 with lightmaps rendered with Final Render's Quasi-montecarlo outdoor renderer and then exported to MY3D.

I would not name it "cathedral" better would be "small chapel" ...othervise it's nice

interesting; I'm both a fan of Zdimitor's MY3d format as well as of Final render.

nice GI. Final Render definitely adds realism to the scene.
I once tried baking my textures using FR but got errors. I'll give it a try with Zdimitor's latest exporter.
Nice work!!!
btw. It looks like a Mausoleum to me. Great texturing work

Maybe I should put a poll up? Is it a cathedral? A church? A chapel? A mausoleum? A dishwasher?
There's a new MY3D exporter out? Does it support multiple textures per mesh? Alpha mapping?

nope, when I sai a new My3d I meant the latest version; the one that embeds the lightmaps in the my3d file.
and yes, a poll would be cool.

afecelis: to bake texutres rendered with finalRender, you should use tbaker that comes together with finalRender.

stage 1 (the latest version) US$750 but stage 0 (first version) costs US$90 nowadays-since the release of Stage1. (the bad thing is I bought it for $700!!!)
Stage 0 does pretty much the same, the only difference is that it's not an integrated renderer as ST1 is. The workflow in both is a bit complex, but once you get the idea of working with GI you get some amazing results. Oh, I think st0 only comes for Max4 and Max5.
@Genesys: thnx for the tip, gonna try it. So you can also use FR baked materials as well? No crashes with Zdimitor's exporter?
