Well f***. Thank the Gods Irrlicht is here!

First and foremost I have to say this: I love you, NIKO
And secondly, I love all the wonderful users of Irrlicht--and helpers.

My roomate recieved a late b-day/christmas present: a new computer, last night and because of that I am ditching my old projct to start my origional one. Anyways, that is off-topic for this message.

I decided to try OGRE and found one HUGE problem with it, though it might be good once you can get it to work...I'd rather work with tools that actually function.

I use Dev-C++ though I have .NET--because my laptop only has so much space, and my roomate is reluctant to have me programming on his machine (he thinks a virus will *just* appear, heh.) but he is allowing me to use Dev-C++ since another of his friends use it. Anyways, off topic again.

If any of you have not tried Ming with OGRE I have one word for you: DON'T. I went through multiple tutorials on how to get OGRE to work with Dev, when I got fed up by all the broken links to tutorials, and trying to figure out horrendious(SP) directory structures of patches/hacks and DevPacks I decided to ask on their forums. Actually I reitterated a question that was asked in the previous post and never answered. Mine was answered--if you can call it that.

This whole message is to say simply this: (For the time being) Irrlicht might not be the most advanced, fastest or feature rich library out there, but as far as I have seen it has the best user base, most helpful user base and above all else...it's made for *everyone* not just for people who can afford a M$ program; it is also for people who have M$ programs but a roomate who does not trust M$ :P

Now, I might not know much right now (I'm sure that will change), and I might even port to NX, but all I have to say for sure is this: I will constantly check the message base and help when I can, 'cause I know when I need help there will always be someone to guide me in the right direction.

Keep it up Niko, and user base!
Umm, don't look at me that way. I'M not the dead one here.
