Question for Irrlicht to 3D in 2D ?

New and thank you to team for making Irrlicht !

Ok, a question, it is possible for Irrlicht to make 3D games in 2D platform? How to transform it? What about to control for viewing or camera?

By the way, Irrlicht is very cool I love it and I think very serously to make games or later to bright new tool. Thank for source code, it open the door...

Hm, not getting what you mean. Do you mean something like putting 3d models in a side-scroller?
Maybe do a quick drawing to explain what you want to do exactly.

Sure, you can do that. Just draw the background first and then the models, then they will be on top of the background.

Ok but in practise it is little hard to make so any there is a example how to code, if it is possible of course ?
