IRC channel - move or stay with freenode?

There currently seems to be some takeover going one with freenode. I've not been involved much in IRC anymore, so I missed most of the drama. But it seems many open source projects decided to move to the new Libera.Chat servers (servername: irc.libera.chat). And #irrlicht channel also seems to have partly moved. Some still on freenode, some on Libera.Chat.

I've got to read a bit more about what's going on, but it might be a good idea to make Libera.Chat the new default.

Any feedback welcome.

OK, as no one complains I'll make irc.libera.chat the new official irc server for Irrlicht.

Discord has it's features and I'm using it sometimes, but it's proprietary tech.

there is also matrix.org which can link channels together. supposedly freenode bridging integration is working with the new changes now but i could not get it working. freenode seems operational enough now just need to see if sandboxing irc connections is going to be a thing with new owners.

@cutealien - libera.chat is fine. For a moment there, I thought you had already done it. I logged in and couldn't find irrlicht. lol
