It seems like Zdimitor's latest release did track some memory bugs down. Loading time is much faster as well as memory consumption. I also optimized the meshes following Dmitri's recommendations. So please retake it for a test drive. Warning, there's still a lot of memory hogging but much less than before!!
OpenGl, wasd navigation , alt+f4 to quit.

oh yes, I forgot you use Devc Captor. The exes include Zdimitor's opengl patch and Chips' antialias addon for DX; check this thread:

so I guess you should recompile your dx dlls with these fixes.

so you can compile your own DX versions, right?
which compiler do you use? you still using your BCB version to compile stuff?
Are Borland's optimizations better? (executable size, performance, etc)
how was performance with your compiled versions?

I use Borland compiler, but in this case I not must compile anything, because I only try to run your binaries laguitodx8.exe, laguitodx9.exe but cannot.
Patches are only for Irrlicht.dll, not for DirectX dlls.
Never mind...
Some important thing is why your my3d file runs slow with OpenGL and fast with DirectX - I know that DirectX is faster with Irrlicht when dynamic lighst are used - but here we have only static lightmaps, right??
Maybe this is only on my PC???
I made a simple my3d file in max, but have not any difference in speed in OpenGL and DirectX modes. Also with ZDimitor files the speed is same for both modes.
And I wonder why with laguito my3d file got only 1-2 fps via DirectX - over 20 fps.
