i'm spanking new to irr so hello to everyone in the forum.

i'm after a model converter but so far all the links i've found on the forum are dead and i'm having no luck with google.

i remember using a nice -> .x converter a year ago but i've lost it and don't know it's name.

cheers

most lowpoly modeling 3d packages export to .X nowadays:

Milkshape:(trial)
http://www.milkshape3d.com

AC3d:(trial)
http://www.ac3d.org

Blender:(free)
http://www.blender3d.org
(use Jox's DirectX exporter-search for it in these forums)

Unwrap 3d (texturing package but exports to several formats): (trial)
http://www.unwrap3d.com

Fragmotion (animation software):(trial)
http://www.fragmosoft.com

cheers 'jam'. i forgot about the wiki. found that link super helpful.

cheers 'afecelis' but i am no artist so thay weren't much help. i'm only after converters not exporters.

and cheers 'GFXstyLER' your post was as useful as ramming my love truncheon into a power socket. i searched the forum and it showed poop-all and the 'FAQ' forum tools list only had dead links for the most part. if you don;t have anything productive to say just shut the f...k up and leave it for people who do!

hey, calm all down...

patience is abandoning young generations quickly, lol...

that's no way to find a converter with google, with no patience...

if is an static x file :

crossroads 3d is freeware and will help you convert

www.micromouse.ca Accutrans will convert it too. Is not free but unlimited in days or features. You can try.

there's an old beta of 3d exploration that would help a lot, but is WAY harder to find. I find it easy, lol.

blender exports x.two exporters available, Jox's and ben's.

Amabilis 3d canvas exports x.

Character Fx (15$) exports x.

Milkshape exports x.

metasequoia LE, a fantastic modeler, can import 3ds, obj, etc, and export as x.

For IMPORT into a package an already animated with bones x file, and export the x file again, only comercial ultimate unwrap, Okino's converters, or deep exploration. Comercial tools.

use google. With the names I did put is easy.

My signature leads to some very old tools. But blender's plugins are mainly all update now...specially Jox and ben's exporters.

I find all easily here with search in this forums.

You all need patience, little padawans.
