Hi I have created a grid using box3d there is a skybox defined and it seems that the grid is attatching itself to it when other scene nodes are not visible. i am wondering if there is a way that you can add these without defining a scene node first or if there is a way to create a box that wont attatch itself to the skybox when the scene node is is to far away.
Why is this a problem? If you don't explicitly set the world transform, the last world transform applied is used. If you have just a skybox, your box will be rendered with the transform for the skybox.
That is why it seems that the box is 'stuck' to the skybox.
By the way, your life would be much simpler if you used classes that already exist in the library, or at least find one that does something similar to want. In this case, you might have been able to just use a CTestSceneNode, or copy the code from one of the 8 other places that call draw3DBox.
