This question has been answered many times in the forums. Please remember to use the search function.

You get a console because it's compiling a console application. To get rid of it you must compile a win32 app, but some lines change (check the forums).

Another trick, if you're using an MSVC C++ compiler, is to add the following line:

Code: Select all

//pragma comments
    #pragma comment(linker, "/SUBSYSTEM:WINDOWS /ENTRY:mainCRTStartup")
below the pragma comment for irrlicht.lib. That will do the trick. This doesn't work with GCC.

Don't worry beshrkayali, but it's not bad either to keep reminding you guys to search in the forums. ;)

did the line do the trick for you?

Or, you can do what I did. Put in the linker:
-lgdi32
Something about the gdi's libs seem to disable it.
