Extendet Listbox

Post by Acki »

Hi,
during my time, visiting this forums, I encountered some questions about creating chat boxes with the list box.
I never had a need for this, so I didn't care... ;)

But now I added some functions to the ListBox !!!
It's now easy possible to create chat boxes with the list box !!! :)
You now can define and change the color of each list item !!!
It's also possible to define the item that should be shown at the top of the list box !!!

The sourcecodes can be found at:

I downloaded it just fine.
Will take a look at it later.
If it exists in the real world, it can be created in 3d

Acki, these are very useful extensions to Irrlicht, thank you.

When "modding" the irr source, I always worry about new irr releases. Then, I'd have to mod once again - or my application wouldn't compile anymore.

Say, wouldn't it be more comfortable to provide extension classes (that derive e.g. from irr::gui::IGUIListBox and add functioniality)?

Dunno if this is feasable, but I understand this would rise acceptance of extensions...

cheers
miko
