You can see the bug description and resolution on This topic. I also have a strange texture-loading bug, which is not in the main release.. I think I'll have to wait for 1.5.1 :)

Well, that's better :) but I now see a bug which reminds be about an old md2-normals loading bug.. Is it possible that this bug is on the 1.5 branch and not on the main branch ?

Animation problem when switching to 1.5

Hi everyone ! I'm working back on a project which I used to develop with Irrlicht 1.4.1. The first thing I did was to adapt it to version 1.5, which did not prove too hard. I still have a problem about objects animation : I have many AnimatedMeshSceneNodes using the same MD2 mesh model. The problem ...

Did you try Qt ? It really powers C++ up, I really feel it's easier to code Qt/C++ than C# ..

(7 Months later ...)
Finally, has something been done in that way ? I'm very interested in the D language, but as long as there are no interesting libraries to be used with it, it is not usable.

Actually, we had thought about many extensions, including the possibility that the character could take some medicine, that would even be a way to control the game's difficulty. Many other things were thought, like controlling an animal's body, or an extra-terrestrial's, ... :) Maybe one day !

Hi again !
The Metabolsim Wiki is now up and running ! There are not many articles, but at least some basic screenshots and a wallpaper :)
It will grow as I develop the game, I miss time but I hope I will find some to work on it !
Feel free to visit it !

The goal of the player on the "human team" is to survive as long as possible Hmm, that's what I would like to avoid. If the player skills are not equal, the human player may have to just wait for a better attack, which is not very interesting. I think he has to have a final goal, even if ...

Of course the game must have the most realistic things as possible, because when a game seems realistic, the player has the feeling he controls something real, and it gives a lot of fun (or is it just me ?). But life is really complicated, and eveything can't be included. About the nanobots, if I'm ...

Seriously, pile up a dozen big medical book, learn through and through the process and take a lot of notes then compare those with games you wish to have a similar gameplay to. Well, I just wanted to make some fun and simple game, it's not supposed to be a life simulation :) of course there are thi...

I like the "scout" idea, I was thinking about viruses who could either attack or infect defensive cells, but this is better, as the player controlling the viruses should have an army of both attack and infective units if he wants to do something relevant. And outside the body, there is jus...

That's a point ! If I understand you well, viruses are not able to build buildings, but just to "convert" them ? That solves a lot of my interrogations, the need for viruses to attack constantly, the rythm of the game, ... But how can the viruses be limited once they have converted some bu...

You're right, I think just waiting for the viruses to attack may become boring. Starting from your world-wonder idea, I've thought at a super-organ the player could build and get very powerful. The best thing I found is an organ which allows the defensive forces to get out of the body and then destr...

Well, to kill the character of course ! Viruses will be able to damage units, buildings, and organs. If the heart or brain of the character gets to a critical level, then the character dies ! That will happen one day of course, so the body force goal is to make sure it happens the latest as possible...
