Game/Universe editor
I have so many times been coming back and forth to the Irrlicht site, I can't even remember anymore how many times I've decided to use Irrlicht, then change my mind to creating my own, the go back to using Irrlicht. I guess it's the bane, of not being experienced, and that I always begin to design m...

Field of view
Something that has always bothered me, is the limited field of view in most games, the worst being those locked at 90°. I would want to see some code for Irrlicht to allow it to effectively use 100° x 140~180° field of view in 4:3 aspect ratio. 16:9 has a wider screen so it automatically allows for ...

I am currently looking for a good Graphics Designer to create some vehicle models. The project stil lhasn't really kicked in, and there is still 0% code, but I would like to start experimenting with vehicles and their controls. Thus I would need someone to create some models, specifically Helicopter...

No single language can satisfy all needs, and what I meant was that any decent language should easily be written in assembly. The design of a language should be computer-based, not human-based. C and C++ are this, they are almost merely macros for assembly, there are other rules of course, like regi...

very interesting indeed, too bad it's .netlester wrote:We are using exactly the C bindings for irrlicht in IrrlichtNET.CP. Take a look at the http://sourceforge.net/projects/irrlichtnetcp for the sources of IrrlichtW.dll, maybe you'll find it interesting

@Midnight: I think it depends a bit, but yes, for bigger companies (especially certain ones) it would be almost suicide to use their material. I've always been paranoid about this myself as well, since I wouldn't really stand much of a chance against some multimillion company O_O Anyone would easily...

c bindings to irrlicht
Hi, somewhat of a newb programmer here ^^ Would it be possible to create c bindings to irrlicht? I'm not a fan of OO and would rather have procedural c. The binary code is probably nearly the same, I just don't like to develop in C++, C#, .net or whatever, just regular old-school ansi c ^^ Or is it ...

i like team structure. that will bring big advantage to the project :) Thank you! I've spent quite some time trying to make a very simple yet efficient team structure, looking at other game credits, looking at film credits, other credits, etc. EDIT: here's something I just drew, not anything revolu...

http://img150.imageshack.us/img150/3408/gtaplalphaos5.jpg Very nice! I'm not that pedant when it comes to graphics, that can be finetuned later, the important thing is to get the controls working, i.e. we would probably have a lot of red squares with helicopter controls behaving like a helicopter. ...

Very interesting. You might not belive it but actually I was thinking of doing exacly the same type of project you showed us here. Yay ^^ I must admit that your plans are very ambitious: for example few planet / locations - you can do whatever you want -> as a police man or a transporter or somethi...

Yes, the summary is quite difficult and long, however, this is not ana actual roadmap, this is just the ideas that I've put together. The project is ALWAYS revised to meet the capabilities of the team, and to make it realisitically possible. So don't take this post as a strict roadmap as to exactly ...
