Do you have a Trojan horse or similar bug on your computer? I was experiencing slowdown problems on my computer, and I found the culprit was a Trojan. I also found that certain programs really slowed my computer down- the most notable was OpenOffice. I don't have a clue why, but it did. I deleted it, and my computer is back to normal.

Right, in most cases there are running some programs in the background and they're taking many recourses... ;)

Yeah first thing to do is download Ad-Aware and Spybot search and destroy and Ewido Antispyware. Download them all they are free!

Then press Ctrl-Alt-Delete and close any weird processes that you find before running the game (maybe even close explorer.exe and use the run dialog from task man to start it? 8) )

Then goto start menu->run-> type "msconfig" and goto startup and disable anything unwanted there and also do this for services. But be careful some startup items and services are crucial to your computer so be careful which ones you disable!

Good Luck

in my experience it's usually easier to reinstall windows than try and remove all the spyware. nowadays these things come with automatic updaters, attack your antivirus and spyware software, and install as disk drivers which start before windows does. even hijackthis couldn't remove the last one I tried to get rid of.
after 10 reboots in and out of safe mode, and waiting hours for all the different anti-malware software to update and scan, you might as well just wipe it and start clean

Correct !!! ;)
I always have a ghost image of my systems (I'm using W98, W2K and WXP) !!!
So I can completely reinstall my systems within 5-10 minutes each !!! ;)

well i scanned my computer and then defragment it and uninstalled all unnecessary soft wares but the same is the problem with my windows i am using winxp service pack 2
and the weird thing is i am have medal od honour directors edition(the latest medal of honour) and it's requirements is greater than freestyle requirements(see the first post) here is the requirements of medal:
Recommended Configuration

= Windows XP or Windows 2000
= 2.0+ GHz Intel Pentium IV or AMD Athlon processor
= 512 MB RAM
= 3D video card with 128+ MB video memory which fully supports
DirectX 9.0
= At least 3.0 GB free space on your hard drive for Standard
Edition, and 4.5 GB free space for Director's Edition.
and i think it works fine for me so how freestyle slows and medal not!

no not updated card, updated drivers.

From the nvidia web site (wait that's under maintenance)

Try it when it comes back online.
