B3D pipeline is the best B3D exporter by far and it works with Max8 just fine so long as you have the max 6 patch installed.

Would be nice if someone could port the pipeline extensions over, then you could use 3dsmax as your world editor since the exporter supports instances, animated lights fog etc amongst other things.

With some thought on how you use it, it can reduce the programmers workload by a huge amount letting them concentrate on more important things and giving the artist control of a lot of stuff that is pretty mundane and boring for the coders to have to do manualy.

I don't have that patch.
Won't work without it.

Does anyone know of a Blender exporter for B3D? It seems like a nice format, but currently unsupported in Blender. :(

luke was working on one, but i'm not sure if he ever finished or released it.
i'm sure he'd be willing to let you have a copy for testing purposes, try emailing him or hang around on irc until he turns up (he's in australia so its usually when i'm in bed or just getting up)
