I am a slacker. I want to do things WITH my computer, I don't want to do anything TO my computer. I don't want to run adware scanners, i don't want to defrag, i don't want virus alerts every other day, i don't want automatic updates that force you to reinstall your whole os, i don't want to crash or reboot... I just want it to work. So i use slackware.

No Windows 95 option?
Seriously I plan to use Win2k until I'm forced to upgrade, then will probably move to Linux. I don't like the idea of Vista

Windows XP Professional, still. My hardware would die if I used Windows Vista, I don't have the cash for a Mac, and my wireless card is annoying and doesn't like Linux.

I don't like the idea of Vista...
Neither do I. I can't remember who said it, but I thought the following quote was right on the money; "I don't dislike Windows, it just makes me lose a lot of time."

Will be buying a Mac in the near future...

iTunes doesn't work with Vista, so Apple's telling people to stay with XP, and if they're going to upgrade, upgrade to a Mac. Haha.

sounds like an operator error to me.

I've actually had some of that happen but I'm not about to use a screw driver to hammer a nail just because I'm afraid I'll hit my thumb.

linux sucks for one reason... no software.

however xhrit you suck for many reasons. mostly money.

yeah those chodes will try anything.

maybe they should try making their computers cheaper and with an interface that doesn't piss you off into a fury of resentment for computers.

bravo on being first to dream of this day... but they lost touch.

I don't like ITunes myself(even thought I have it installed), but I know many people who do. It's a poor decision by Apple to make that comment. Nobody's switching to a Mac, and in the meantime lots of users won't buy a new IPod. Poor marketing tactics.
I have to express my displeasure and disappointment with Vista. New interface which only works on 10% of the world's computers, $$$, limited licensing for the Home Editions(No emulators allowed!), and to me there appears to be very little kernel change. I mean, Windows 2000 and XP introduced full 32 bit apps, but what does Vista do that is a major breakthrough in technology? Nothing as far as I can see.
