Nice 3d sculpting tool - currently free

Post by IPv6 »

Just browsed across the site with quite astonishing 3d modeller with "sculpting" tools in it.
It is beta (but rock solid and stable, i started to use it in my project already) and while it is beta, it is free. Take a look, it allows you to do all stuff in WYSIWYG mode - drop textures on object and move/rotate it along edges/surfaces. it automatically handles low-poly version of hi-poly model and generates normal maps for low-poly, you can draw 3d details right over 3d primitive. in other words i didn`t see anything like this yet, in other products :) if you know other tools like this, drop a link here!
i`m not affiliated with them :)

I think it might turn into a commercial tool in the future. Because it is currently under beta test. :?

I had a read of the license before installing it, and this is what I make of it: It's for internal use only; you can't make content for your commercial apps. You also must purchase the full version when it's released if you intend to continue using the app.

I'm not saying that the license is "bad" - just something to be aware of.
