KillerCow Returns! Moo!

Post by Anteater »

A friend of mine told me I should make another game about an evil cow. Two days later, I finished it. Yes, two days. Yes, it sucks, but it's fun anyway.
http://www.freewebs.com/decapgames/killercow.htm, bottom of page. Have fun! :D

Well, considering it's a 'finished' game, and not a project, I think it belongs here.

thats an oximoron.. it can't suck AND be fun. only girls can do that.

can i make a suggestion?

why not spend a little more time on your projects?

you don't seem to value your time very highly.

I see Midnight's point, but I must disagree. The game is fun, simple, and if you learned anything from doing it (even just honing your skills), then the project was well worth it. Not every project has to be a huge success to learn anything from it.

no not at all that's not what I meant.

he just has a habit of doing these very if i can say tacky projects.

why not just make one really good one that I actually care to play?

I haven't tried this one but some of the others wouldn't even run properly so I'd have to say he is not spending enough time with them.

he doesn't support them afterwards from what I've seen either.

if that's what it takes then ignore me not everyone can make large games or has the patents for it.

whatever your reason it was only a suggestion. these just seem more like tiny bigfish games that bore people like me. a simple networked fps even bad one might actually make me stick around however.

just some constructive criticism I've just never seen a game I would play made in two days... not since pong and at least they were pioneers of sorts. even they spent more then two days.

good job if that's what your waiting for but I assumed you knew that much what good does passive information like that do anyone besides boost an ego that's obviously too big waiting for compliments like that.

on the other hand if you thought this was commercial ready then I would strongly disagree. but thats not the case it would seem.

I never said it was bad or that a game had a defined amount of effort put into it but I think its safe to say he could have put more into it.

its almost insulting to the players to say that a 2 day game is worth our time.. in a sense.. think about it I'm sure you can find a way to agree if you're willing.

besides my first post was intentially vague how can you even derive any sort of an opinion or view from it honestly? exactly what are you disagreeing with? lol

it doesn't really help that the webpage doesn't even display and its freewebs.. since when do they go down?

I'm not interested in giving opinions on a personal level really I just want people to know whats expected if they try to make something professional.

think of it like knowing where the fire exits are you don't blame the teacher for forcing you to learn.

It was made with GameMaker, and that is why it's on "Other than Irrlicht" board.
