Irredit licence

What "You may not redistribute this software without any written permission of the author." ?

Is it not possible to create a mirror of this file?

im sure you can create a mirror but i am not quite sure why you would want to.

Irrlicht is being hosted through sourceforge and the project isnt anywhere close to being dead. And if it was SF keep the project active for like 5-10 years without activity. And projects on sourceforge have 20+ mirrors.

And free file host suck, because they stay active for like 10 days then deactivate and you have to reupload... to much work for a file that is already being hosted on a dedicated server and will be there for many many years...

And redistributed, as in sold, taken credit as if it was your own. If you want to redistribute, its as easy as sending an email, its not like its a 45 day process where if they say yes, you have to go to court and get it signed or something.

Best idea would be to just post the link to their SF project, and allow them to DL from their, its easier.
