Searching for texture!!!

Post by Masterhawk »

Image

Does anyone know where I can find such kind of a metal texture used by this game for the pillar?
I've searched the internet for about 2 hours but didn't find anything.....perhaps I've searched for the wrong terms...what would you call this kind of texture?

Would be nice if anyone can help me.....

If you want that exact one, you might get ahold of the author of that game :D
It looks like a pretty simple image, you might be able to make it in Photoshop or even paint or something.

http://www.bishopdigitalimage.com/frames/texfs06.htm here's some good metal textures.

I can't seem to find my favorite one from my work comp, but I'll get you a link when I get home in a few hours.

No, I don't want to get exactly this texture...I need it a little more realistic. I just wanted to show what kind of texture I mean.

I tried....but my work will not look as good as the one from an experienced graphic-artist.....and any "unprofessional" texture does not fit in my current project. So I searched for a complete texture in the i-net.

Ok, if I really don't find any texture I have to do it on my own:
1. retry it with photoshop
2. build a 3d-model and make a screenshot :?

Thx for your help Earl

Best way to get good texture is to take digital cammera and make picture of what you looking for. Than edit it in Phothoshop, Gimp or something else. Works allways and best. No problems with authors rights too.

Else you may use seweral diferent textures/phothos to combine what you want from seweral diferent parts.
