Play Back Rate and Time Index

Post by Gabumon »

Just a small possible suggestion for future irrKlang releases.

It would be cool if irrKlang could adjust the speed at which a sound plays back.

[ 1 is normal speed [Sample rate of audio], > 1.0 is faster, <1.0 is slower, <0 is Backwards.]

As well as set the time index position at which a sound starts playing from.

It is a simple trick used in sound design to add color to a sound by adjusting the play back rate a few percent each time it plays. The end effect is that you hear the pitch of the sample is changed just enough that one doesn't think they are hearing the same sound over and over again.

Just an idea... But in the meantime great work!

Peace

Staque
