MinGW GCC 3.4.5 MSI installer

Post by StickyBit »

Hi guys

I´ve just created a Mingw GCC 3.4.5 MSI installer. Feel free to download a copy:

Mingw GCC 3.4.5 MSI installer (md5sum: a964de0dfc4527a2687218256757f579)

The distribution of Castle Draco is compiled using this package.

Regards Stickybit

Edit: The installer now includes gdb, and is now hosted at the open source MSI repository at SourceForge.

What's the problem with just using the regular Nullsoft installer? I prefer scriptable cross-platform installers over MSI, which also requires the MSI update.

It´s an .exe file. System administrators used to deploying software will now, that this is a showstopper.

Cross-platform installers.. gimmi a break. Name one scriptable cross-platform technology that actually can install software on different platforms, and fully take advantage of the given platform. I dare you. :-)

By the way .. MSI´s are easily scripted using Wix.
