Mech Warfare Co-op

Post by FlyingIsFun1217 »

Hey!

I'm lazy, so I'll just copy my gamedev.net post:
Hey!

Since I'm doing PR for it, I figured I'd give an intro to it here ;)

Mech Warfare Co-op is a soon-to-be multiplayer mech shooting game that is made using a modified version of the torque game engine (it supports things such as HDR lighting, bloom effect, etc.).

Since people never really care about words, here are some screenshots:

...and you can find a *somewhat* outdated techdemo here.

The team working on it currently consists of five people (the main team), and four contributors (help/special thanks).

For more information, check out the home page.

ps: This is a standalone game, not a mod as you would think from the moddb screenshots.

ps: We are currently looking for another model skinner and/or texture artist, so if anybody is interested, check out the home page ;)

The screenies are great and the engine looks kickass. but the concept arts are too anim00-crap for my taste. I prefer Goliath like mechs.

The engine graphics destroyed my hopes of making any game that could possibly look that good.
I like the concepts too.

Yeah, like I said, the person who heads the game (and also has a copy of the engine source) just took torque and modified it for things like bloom effect, HDR lighting... Things that slow my computer down :P

It's turning out REALLY great though, and we've just (unofficially, I didn't say anything) started talking to another mod team that does commercials/videos.

Still looking for somebody who would be interested in model skinning and/or texturing :)
