Myst

Post by SwitchCase »

Hi,

I'm looking to get hold of the first Myst game. I reckon I could find a copy in a shop somewhere for dead cheap but I was wondering if anyone knows if there's somewhere i can download it? Iv'e only played the more recent Myst games and want to play the first now. A little backwards, i know.

Regards,
Chris.

I think Myst was released online for free somewhere, kind of like Quake2 and those kind of games...

Ok a quick search brought up nothing.. :(

there's a few copies on ebay for about £3 including postage, that's about 5 euros or 6 usd.
of course, we're not gonna tell you where you can download abandonware, it wouldn't be good form.

Same here, I searched for hours though. The only thing I could find was a recent remake called realMYST. Same as the original except instead being pre-rendered it's real time. Looks cool, I might buy it.

eh?

i'm sure it'll be somewhere, I think other old Myst games are available for free, or atleast parts are. I reckon I'm gonna have a hunt in shops and markets or see if theres anyone i know who has it lying underneath their bed.

Cool. I think there's already a PSP version.

Anyway, I have both Myst 1, the original in pre-rendered screen that has a transition between frames and the 3d free movement one ^^
