I think there's a lot of problems with irrlicht loading .x files when they've been created the wrong way. How have you created your .x files, have you used a specific exporter?

I thought Panda was one of the safe ones... To be honest i don't have much experience in this issue but i've seen others talking about it on the forum so thought i'd chip in until someone with better knowledge posts.

Have you tried loading the model into the mesh viewer program? (one of the tutorial/sample programs with the SDK) That's meant to be a good way of checking if the model is messed up or you're doing something wrong in loading it.

Also be sure to use the correct coordinate system when exporting, and disable fancy stuff.

After you translate/rotate/scale mesh in 3ds max make sure
you apply "reset X-form" to the mesh.

Its at very early stage but i think im crazy enough to finish it all alone.
