a look around the Corner .. ;)

Post by thalius »

Greetings!

Dunno if this is the right place but tought ill throw a bone in here ... :)
Neotoma and i are the Maintainers of the PurebasicIrrlichtWrapper( which currently uses Irrlicht 1.2 since Niko beats us in Speed of Releases ...

But still wanted to show a little Game Demo using PureBasic with Irrlicht ( Made as Example for the Wrapper ). Its not yet all Bulletproof but shows theres yet another Irrlicht Featured Language out there.

Thanks go to:
Nikolaus Gebhardt for his wonderful Engine's ( The Levelchangesound expresses my Feeling about Irrlicht *g* )
Frank Dodd for the wonderful base we build the PBIW on.
Michael Taupitz who got me involved and hooked in this Project.
Dirk Hoeschen for Wizzard of Oz ( Great Example btw ! Which this is based on ).

Feautres:
- 4 Levels
- CPU gentle coding
- irrLicht for 3D Graphics
- irrKlang for 3D Sound

Known Limitations:
- Works with OpenGL-Renderer only for now ( as i messed up with the Material definitions of the Models)
- No Skin on the Playfield ( feel free ... i suck at texturing ) ;)
- Code isnt as clean as i would like it to be ( not yet anyway ) ;) - but works as an example for now.

AMD Athlon 650 Mhz / ATI Radeon 7500 64 MB ( See what i mean about CPU-gentle =p )

Its surely not impressive but still have fun doing a Round or 2 while lunchbreak ( Or after a particulairy angry customer/supportphone *g* )

Cheers,

I like it. Look good so far. maybe you could add some more of that eye-candy that we see on all the games out there ? Like flashing lights on the edges of the board. And don't forget the power-ups!

bye.
