Full Bright No Shadows in DirectX 8.1

Full Bright No Shadows in DirectX 8.1

What would cause this? My card is an ATI Rage Mobility(Laptop).

Maybe your card does not like shadows? You could ask your video driver: ol
yourDriver->queryFeature(EK3DVDF_STENCIL_BUFFER)
