but im also looking for 3d softwere thats makes it easy to make animated models
i know milkshape 3d is primitive/expensive(maybe) but its EASY to animate stuff. especially characters. it has tons of importers exporters too. On the other hand tho, there is also 3ds max which is by far easy, maya is easy, lol ;p depends how willing you are to read the tutorials supplied! but yea

what are you wanting to animate?
oh man.....MilkShape looks so awesome... but its not free....but i can try it for 30 days... so i did that and it is really kool...... man... haha

hehe, I'll put them where they are exactly required ;) [joke]

Seriously, often less is more. It has less tools, but still, sometimes fewer features but amazingly fast in good hands, are the way to go. yet though, is apples vs oranges: Wings is an specialized tool. Blender 3d a general package. People with no knowledge of conversions, formats, tips & tricks, or work experience on all that, is usually needing one-for-all package. I have the freedom of use the tool that imho fits better every special task on the project. I have no pain in moving the meshes from one tool to another, can do it very flawlessly, and its by large compensated by a imho most powerful pipeline.

But well... There are things that can only be learnt by experience. And some very few, only by hard pressure job experience/hi speed modeling till late in the midnights.
Finally making games again!

Also anyone who wants to use Blender for movies should check out 'Orange' and 'Peach'

This are high quality movies that are made in a professional environment especially made around Blender. 'Peach' is more directed as a 'Over the Hedge' movie where realistic fur, cartoony animals, etc. are the main focus. It is currently out on DVD, and I have to say it is a pretty good movie.

You can pick up all the models, textures, storyboards, audio, etc. over at the site for it too. Check out blender.org for more information.
