quake engine and irrlicht engine question.

hey.
i am not sure about this.
but if you have your character say it can be for expereinces a normal q3 model that runs in thirdperson modus and i want to give him an inventory and like in diablo where you have your chars strk magic energy and that.
how would that look like in irrlicht engine code?
is there any tutorial for this?

For the inventory check out the GUI tutorial, for the third person camera search the forum as there are many 3rd person cams implemented, for model loading also check out the tutorials, though i'm not sure you can load q3 character models with standard irrlicht, though sio2 wrote a q3 character model loader.

if i would read more on the tutorials i didnt need to post that.
i wasnt sure if that was the same i wanted.
anyways..i will try this and show you f it works.
if the char doesnt work i will try it on the irrlicht eningne , i need just a small thing like you running in a dungeon kill monsters and you get experiences points for the char.
its like the diablo char menu.

for gui...
almost all the games have the same gui elements - buttons, texts, etc.
they just skinned it differently and have different pictures, texts, values (HP, exp, and so forth) displayed on it.

i want to create some like diablo styled game also.
just for getting into the basics ofprogramming. i have absolutly no plan how to code the right way but also some differecnes understand what i tell the computer there.
and for this to give me a little bit more understanding i'll also try using flash and code with it a little.
