All about the latest-n-greatest video cards

Post by dlangdev »

Hey, let's talk about video cards.

I bought XFX 8600GT two weeks ago, actually paid quite an amount for it, though it had a $40 rebate. The 8600GT was fast, it rendered UT3 super fast, but then realized the price paid for it wasn't good enough, all because of the Radeon 3870.

I decided to return the card yesterday after reading a glowing review of the ATI Radeon 3870. This card radically changed the situation previously owned by the 8600GT, now taken over by the second tier Radeon 3800's.

So I exchanged the card to a 3850 since their 3870 ran out. The card is still sitting there, waiting for the PCI/E power cable.

Well, I just bought a new computer with Radeon HD 2600 Pro 256MB GDDR3 and I'm pretty happy even impressed by its performance. No complaint so far and about the price, I don't remember how much did it cost but if I remember right it had a reasonable price.
