Shiny good!

That would be cool, but really right now I at least want some low-end machines to be able to run this. Later on down the road though it may be a possibility, but I don't think for this game.

Status:

Currently, I have been very busy, the holiday, and then school starting its big burly engines back up. Time has became shortened, but at any rate development is continuing.

I would also like to announce that SwitchCase is porting Summertime to Linux. So this project will cover all main PC platforms.

Also I am saving the three-pronged spring camera for my next game, and instead opting for a more suitable camera type for this game. My reasoning in that is the fact that my character is not velocity based, he is either not moving, walking, or running.

Okay, I am guessing you all have noticed that I haven't updated in a long time. But no worries, the project isn't dead, but time was short at the time.

Well the thing is that I have fell into a pitfall that every modeller has probably fallen into. That pitfall is when you realize that you need to model on a scale. :? So I trashed the level that I was currently working on, so I could favor a scale oriented design so that the character model can be created by another modeller, that is better to me, on that same scale.

Oh yeah, and the other great update I have to say is that my high school is allowing me to make measurements of the school for use with this project. (Of course I couldn't go around measuring without looking like a terroist. )

So after that I am going to model the level on a 1 inch:1 blender unit scale. Well, I am off.

Couldn't you just rescale it in irrlicht?

Thats what I am doing for irrsolar.

No, the point is that the level was not built on a real world scale, which means that things looked very akward, like the wall to floor proportions, or stairs to walls, etc. So that's why I am using a real world scale.

If by soon, you are refering to next month, then it is a definite possiblity, but so far there are a lot of things that still need completed, and some things that still need to be planned. Also, the only level you will be seeing used is a test level, due to the fact of hardware limitations.

No I am sorry to say I have no eye-candy. I am really looking for a dedicated modeller as it is taking me too long to produce simple things. On the verge of 1-2 weeks just to get things done like the first level I posted to show you guys, and that's not even dealing with texturing. I really think I am just going to try drawing up some concept art and find a modeller.

Don't do that mistake Halifax, don't let art-work delay you, if it means no screen shots, let it be then..

Oh by no way would I say they are delaying me. I am still moving along with the process of implementing OpenAL, and Bullet into my rendering solution, so it's all good.
