Irrlicht vs. Truevision3D

Hey,
i am new at game programming and i want to use one of these engines but which ? I cant decide between Irrlicht and Truevision3D. Please tell me which engine is better !

PS: Where can i get the Irrlicht.NET library ?

you rarely are going to get a non biased answer asking in any of its forums. maybe in a neutral one yes...

I like the fact that both import weighted x files.

Tv3d allows vb coding, which I know a bit.

irrlicht is free, tv3d is free for non comercial only.. u gotta purchase a copy for that.

can't say more, as don't know more.

I think if u really want to get deep into coding and want a Engine which you can also expand then u should take Irrlicht.
And i think that if you want to make a commercial projekt Irrlicht is better because it's free.
Just a hint compare the features of the two and watch out for the things YOU need

I am a beginner too,and I think that the lrrlicht is very easy to start with,and we have many good teachers here,like LordNaikon and r2d2

I worked with Truevision3D, and it is much slower than Irrlicht, IMHO. But Irrlicht is a GRAPHICS engine, meanwhile Truevision is a GAME engine...

Truevision is some hing great..but not free for comercial use

Have you ever tried Jet3D,genesis,ogre,fous,ooengine,...

I think Irrlicht is great... I was in a project with jet and stopped it.
I am very much impressed in Irrlicht..

FPS is like a porn movie! Who cares the story?
