Hi, I'm fully impressed for the set of features this engine has...

I have 2 questions :

- I am a modeller/animator (and more things) I wonder if it is planned for a distant future the adition (which only exists in very few engines) of directx format. It allows most packages to export animations towards an engine, as most softwares have free plugins for direct x 8 with bones an animation. I don't know, just would like to know if it is planned for way long, or maybe added a bit sooner..

- Is thee any starting or (better) half done or ended 3d fighting game ? I mean like Tekken, but of course, much more simple, less ambitious for a start. Even if is it just a bit more than a tech demo (or a tech demo itself...) ?

md2 can do in the meantime...but...what about its limitations? bad shading, etc...? Directx8 allows a lot of more "power"...

I'm pasionate of those bruce lee films, and already have more than enough knowledge and purchased/free software to make those models and animations. Besides all what needs a game, 2d, 3d, ui icons, etc.

I am not planning to do it, due to lack of time. I just don't have it.

But I ask in case there's an existing project for which if one sunday I can make some bits for it... Even if it is a very simple graphic... Someday I'll end up teaming strongly and dedicately to someone who make this type of game, but know I could only think of the possibility that small type of contribution.

However, I'd like to see a demo or the like, if there's any around here of this kind of games...

Surely if there's something, is in planning stage, as , I may be wrong but seems to me Irrlicht Engine was born very little time ago...

Congratulations for making this engine ! :)

Hi, to answer your question if the .X format will be supported: Yes, it will be. You can find it in the list on the development page.
I don't know of a fighting game being made with this engine, but maybe someone will start something like that.

Thank you very much for answering. :) I read quickly the other day that page but seems I read it too quickly ;)

checking it right now...

[impressive list of features, that's I at least noticed the other day..]

Cool! I'll keep an eye on the forums, then...

Thank you.
