I can't wait until it gets to the PC.

Yeah, I don't believe Rockstar's priority this time around is getting it to the PC, so I would just buy a console for it. Although this time around they are using the RAGE engine which could possibly be cross-platform, but who knows.

If you buy a console for this game then their strategy of manufacturing "killer apps" by securing a release only on consoles actually works, and they'll do it more in the future. So I'll not only wait for the PC release, I don't mind waiting 10 years before I play the game. It's not like I have too few games to play and if it's a good game then it will still be good in 2018.

Well, personally, I just don't like playing GTA on the PC. Nor do I like to play any game that involves some sort of racing, or crazy key combos (Tony Hawk's Pro Skater). That's just my opinion.

I agree, even more, I don't like even play in PC.
PC is for work.
console is for gaming.

The only thing that I play ok in pc is some shot'em ups...
And I don't like most shot'em up.

even more shot'em up = pc :P.

Painfully because I have no money for a good tv + ps3 I have to play some other games like gta3 y vice city on pc :(.

I hated Steam at first for the DRM and other nasties, but the idea grew on me over time. You can buy a game and never worry about losing or scratching the disc, it's one step closer to instant teleportation of data, and has anti-cheat for online games. Like Rogerborg I'll probably end up buying GTA4 through steam (because I'm weak willed and it's only one click away)

As for consoles, I've never really liked the idea of having a separate computer whos only purpose in life is to sell you stuff. Joypads are pretty nice for driving games but they don't have the same kind of control as mouse and keyboard for anything else. I'll upgrade my Xbox 1 to a 360 when XBMC runs on it! :D

OH MY GOSH! i just figured out the most awesome idea. HOW ABOUT MERGING A CONSOLE AND A PC!!! REVOLUTIONARY graphics, always updating systems, speed, performance. its the future of GAIMINGS!!!

</sarcasm>

anyway, is it so hard. plug a controller in your pc, its the best console you have ever seen. if you like consoles awesome, but i like flexibility and upgrading and i like being able to do other stuff, not just games. ITS MY OPINION so dont start a flame :D i just think its funny.

a friend of mine likes the controllers of Xbox more than anything else, so he simply connected it to the PC, to play Call of Duty 4 with an modified XBox Controller... works fine, i tested it once, but the fact that i play ego-shooters and all games with mouse & keyboard since i am able to, makes me prefer those... i don't like aiming with those controller sticks, it is way to unpreceise and slow i think...
if anyone is interested in playing with a XBox controller on PC, heres the link.

@ topic
i played GTA4 yesterday at a friend's PS3 ( or more his brothers :P ), and it seems that not too much has changed since the last game, except things like graphics, and some gameplay elements. i can't wait to play it on PC for my own... but i think i will prefer san andreas, since it had more of the typic GTA-Feeling to me :P

Yeah, I agree, I forgot about the gamepads. I do in fact use those sometimes, so I guess you could call the PC my favorite gaming platform.

One thing I have to say is that I have played GTA IV, and it does certainly deliver in my opinion. Not just graphics, which are pretty good, with some pop as is expected. But really the story is good so far that I have gotten into it. (Only about 2 hours.) In my personal opinion I have to say that I am glad Rockstar strayed away from the "thuggin" theme that was rampant in San Andreas, and they went with organized crime/a little bit of "thuggin".

But even if you are just a sucker for physics, then GTA IV is for you.

Consoles are like super laptops. You can carry out your console to the friend with the biggest TV and like play for hours. PC is too..too.. too BIG.
And how can you compare to uber cool PS3 with its ~10 processors and awesome graphics and amazing games and ultra fun to a simple PC  :D .
I remember I used to take my PS2 to my friend's house and we played some wrestling game then after about 3 hours playing we jumped on the bed and started fighting for real  , oh the good old days when all we did was playing some tekken then emulating the techniques on each other.. 8) :D

PS3 IS The Future!

I wish it wasn't that expensive :( ..

P.S
My friend is buying a PS3 with projector so we have a wall as a screen :D , I'd like to kick some but on that setup 8)

 PS3 Rules  (Google even has one on their main floor :D (here in Israel) )
