how do you put more than one animation in one file[solved]

Post by noals »

hi,

i saw the tuto about exporting to .x format but its for one animation.

do you know a tuto that can explain me how to put all the animation i want in one file ?
or maybe i can add node(?) and animation manualy in the .x files ?
or the truth is in another format ? lol

anyway, im searching for some tuto for 3DSmax that can explain me how to edit a little each animation i want, like loops, sort them with node(?) and put them all in a file i will can use in irrlicht.
i put (?) after "node" because im a noob in programming and im not sure its that
i found some about md2 but it seem a pain to do and i cant find the "ID software quake2 utils" through i found QTip but its not free (i didnt tryed the demo yet)

can you help me please ?

thx

Do you need to have them as seperate animations? You can just have a big long string of animations and then set the start and end frames to run an individual animation.

you right i guess, i didnt think about that through if you load an md2 for example it appears that way.
i though there were some kind of separation within the file so when you call it, it play the loop you want through i can write a class or something that do that.

so, i can use .x files, nice !
now, i just need to find a 3DSmax tuto about animation editing because im not good with that and i will need to merge some .bip files but it should be more easier to find tuto about that.

i will study the code here later to try to understand how it work, im still discovering programming. ^^;

thx for help.
