Advice: Maya Character Animation DVD? Do I really need it?

Post by dlangdev »

Hi,

I've somehow convinced myself I really need to get this DVD in order to learn real character animation in Maya.

My mind is now totally made-up now, but before the fool and his money parts, I have to ask you a simple question.

Do I really need this DVD to get to the next level of character animation?

My answer to that is a resounding YES, why?

1) I'm developing a Tekken-style game.
2) A game like that would mean superb hi-quality movements.
3) The DVD cover the details on how to make those cool movements.

See the webpage for details...

Do I really need it?

Thanks.

a) you have maya purchased. Then yup, go for it. Or you can access it as this is a school project. Go for it. Maya is great for character animaiton.

b) Don't have maya. Go blender route. There's a book you can buy at the blender.org shop, dedicated to character animation, that I have quite more than a sensation that is really good. If u've seen big buck bunny open movie, you'll see blender is way more thna enough for that project.
Finally making games again!
