irrKlang 1.1.0 Released

Post by Halifax »

I just wanted to say that irrKlang 1.1.0 has been released:
http://www.ambiera.com/irrklang/

And it adds one of the main features that I have wanted. Direct access to the PCM data is available now, which means you can use algorithms for beat detection, low-pass filters, and overall manipulation now.

That's pretty interesting, however, this old November update caught my eye:
vector3df is now named vec3df
What's the point of this? Looks like irrKlang is drifting further and further away from Irrlicht. Although, It's a good idea to add another typedef like that to the vector3df class in Irrlicht, it gets tiresome typing out those extra 3 letters. :P

Well yeah it may get tiring, but it is good API design according to various sources, one being Google (themselves). I personally like the naming scheme of Irrlicht over Irrklang. Especially the header naming convention.
