I didn't know that irredit supported the texture animator but as it's no doubt directly based on the irrlicht one then no, it can't.
It just gets given an array of textures which would be individual frames of the animation so to get a video to animate in it you'd have to decode it into its individual frames first.
Are you just wanting to get a video playing on screen/an object?
Yeah I only want to have an animated water ripple/foam texture uv mapped to an object. I would have used a water shader, or elvmans water scene node but I'm doing a waterfall so that won't work.
Ummmmm well I guess I need it for something else after all.
But I'm having a problem where when I paste in the path to the texture in the slot of the animator that says texture1, the problem is when i paste the path, nothing happens, no texture path shows up, no animated texture on the object.
