whaou it s very cool.
but can i suggest you some stuff for your interface:

add only one textbox by stuff
ex for min and max, instead of separate by "," just add two text box

some bug stuff:
when you put 1 in y direction particule dont move

when it will be advance it will be a very great tool...

and instead of having update ,
it s better to have a realtime update...
and add initial value.

There is a new release off the Particle Editor avaiable:

Irrlicht Particle Editor 1.0 (BETA)

Feature:

- up to 40 different particle systems
- gravity affektor
- fade out affektor
- its able to edit all parameters in realtime
- new user interface (only little changes)

known bugs:

- wrong Box size
- problems with scaling

Hey is there any way you can set it up so we can add our own particle affector code? I don't think this is possible at runtime unless we start making DLLs and you make a dynamic DLL loader (which sounds way too complicated), but maybe I'm wrong. If not, when you are ready could we have the source code?

hehe - when edito is ready i'll send it to you. and yes - i use the "Autoren Edition" (<- German) thats the free educational version.....

Let me top that offer by compiling your source on the new and shiny VC.Net2003! You can gain enormously on speed with that dev-suite. Peeps should move away from VC6 it's soo outdated by now.

One suggestion I have is to have an exporter to source code, would help a lot of people who don't quite understand the params of the particle system ( like me :D ), almost like a learning device.
