Jirr Bottleneck

Post by renegadeandy »

Hey guys - i am not part of the Jirr dev team or anything like it - but I am a heavy Jirr user - and there are 3 -4 major bugs which will be fixed upon the next release of Jirr - allowing it to catch up with 1.4.1

However - they wont release the new version until the bug listed here within 1.4.1 is fixed : https://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=845974

Can anybody give me some insight into this bug and its fix status to allow me to try and do a bit of sherlock holmes and get this development ball rolling again - I need that new version!

Thanks

The bug is already fixed, but AFAIK they wait for another official release, which will come in the next weeks (Irrlicht 1.4.2, mainly a bugfix release for this special bug).

Thats great news hybrid thanks!

Are there any possible dates for the next release - so I can let the Jirr community know and possibly try to gauge a release date for the next Jirr version?

Thanks very much,

No fixed dates, but should be within the next 4 weeks. There will be only a few changes to the 1.4 branch in SVN, so it's already quite stable for creating a first version of the updated wrapper.

I plan to release a new jirr version as soon as 1.4.2 comes up and I get hold of a gcc compatible version. If there are no other changes than bugfixes this should not take too long.
