Klasker's Tree Scene Node, which, coincidentally, I posted a fix to (for Irrlicht 1.4.1) a few weeks ago. http://irrlicht.sourceforge.net/phpBB2/ ... &start=165

It needs some work - for things like hardware buffers, instancing and forest grouping, etc - but it should be an excellent starting point.

The only experience I have had to deal with trees so far was using 3D max's tree script, rendering them and plastering them into the game

Cheap and nasty, but if you do it right the user won't notice it

Yeah the tree scene node is really cool, but I need a mesh tree that I can switch between high and low poly models at runtime (I'll figure that one out later), I heard gen3 (blender script) is good maybe I'll try it.
