Google Chrome
Google Chrome
After two minutes of using Google Chrome, I'm a convert. Even after being a firefox fanboy for three years
When I first heard about it I was expecting another Opera, (annoying scrolling, theme doesn't match etc) But this really does make surfing more fluid.
However Google probably won't be able to take on MS. Most people use IE simply because they're too lazy to download another browser. The majority who use chrome will probably be firefox/opera users like me

Bah, it's all been downhill since 2K. Nagware and FuzzyFonts(tm) don't really do much for me.
Is Scott McLoud still churning out his scribbles? I thought he'd have retired by now after making a hundred kabillion million dollars.

Oh that was fast: it's been prohibited in my workplace because of the "All your base are belong to Google" EULA terms.

Anyone else having trouble inputting text when making a post? There' some weird problems for me where bits of text get clipped away on new lines of the edit box and sometimes appears to be overwriting itself.
Also there's often large pauses before the text actually appears, like the buffer for reading key presses is a bit too small....
Hmm... still a bit buggy it seems!

Yeah, just saw that bug when I started posting here... I posted on GP forums and their text box doesn't have the problem.Anyone else having trouble inputting text when making a post? I love Scott McLouds books. I own a couple and they're worth the money. The bucks he rakes in from those things will make him a lot better off than most comic book authors, as the uni I went to had a paper which required you to buy one of them. For some reason it's with papers unrelated to drawing, something about his abstraction models used for technical drawing or somethingPosted: Wed Sep 03, 2008 9:14 am Post subject:

Just a heads up when you go to uninstall the program, it leaves googleupdate.exe buried in the Documents and Settings directory. The exe will run on every startup and attempt to connect to the Internet. It also leaves about a half a dozen registry entries pertaining to the googleupdate file.
