I need to know the cheapest VPS Windows Server that I can look at. I will be moving away from Linux as I have moved my development server to a Windows Server.

Probably not what you wanna hear but, I use Microsoft Visual Studio C# to develop my servers, and they run fine directly on Mono on a linux server. Straight out of the MS compiler and into the linux.

how's the mono asp.net compatibility with m$ dot net these days? it's been ages since i checked last... it used to be terrible. you make it sound like they've come a long way?

I can't say, like I said I used it with C# as a standard server program. I can attest to the to threading, tcp sockets and generics compatibility though.
