terrain renders oddly

terrain renders oddly

I was playing with the tutorials and I managed to get terrain rendered from a height map and draw a texture on it. I then stuck a FPS camera in and walked around my newly created terrain. It seems like the edges of my terrain are growing as I walk towards them so its hardly rendering the entire surface. Any suggestions of what I could be doing wrong?

This is with irrlicht 1.5

it's a LOD setting problem. search the API for the function and how to set LOD properly (Level Of Detail).

That sounds more like far plane culling. Try to increase the farValue of the camera.
